Student and Academic Services

Working collaboratively the Directorate aims to attract the best talent possible to Goldsmiths, to steward applicants through enrolment and into their student experience and then to support them to be successful students and graduates.

Different is what we do: with a history of being progressive and proud, we combine academic excellence and imaginative course content to make a place where original ideas are welcomed and nurtured. We offer an alternative mix of subjects with undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees in the arts, humanities, social sciences, computing, management and law.

The student experience is at the centre of everything we do here at Goldsmiths. Whether it be through our research inspired teaching, an ever innovative curriculum or vibrant extracurricular and support offering, we have an unshakeable commitment to improving the experience of our diverse population.

The Student & Academic Services Directorate is the part of Goldsmiths Professional Services that leads on the development and provision of outstanding student facing services. The Directorate is responsible for ensuring that every student at Goldsmiths has an excellent student experience.

Working collaboratively, the Directorate aims to attract the best talent possible to Goldsmiths, to steward them through from enquiry to application and enrolment, and the subsequently into their student experience and to support them to be successful students and graduates. The team coordinates a full suite of co-curricular activities in order to develop and support our students and works in partnership with our academic departments.

The Directorate has been at the centre of a transformation programme as we seek to make services which underpin our student experience more efficient and effective. Over the next year, we will continue embedding the new organisational structures to reconfigure the ways we work; reducing silos, making better use of systems and improving compliance with regulations, policies and processes.

The Directorate is made up of six areas:

  1. Student Support Services
  2. Student Success
  3. School Student & Programme Hub
  4. Admissions
  5. Registry Operations, Systems & Data
  6. Careers & Employability
